Waterspirit
Inspired by cultural folklore and other village stories from my place of my upbringing, I decided to bring this up in a visual expression rather than imagined stories. This mostly mythical subject of such a “creature” has invoked many debates and often leads to contentions about its existence. I made this “creature” out of carved stone and welded metal to bring out the questions ,in the hope to find answers. Is it real and does it exist? Is there such a thing and who has seen it? Why are the written stories about it similar across cultures of the World? Thus far I have had many different stories and some emotional responses with no conclusions.
